For many who attended the 3rd annual ANNIKA Junior Day in Memory of Holly Baxter, the day felt like a dream come true. Getting to play on a state-of-the-art golf facility at the ANNIKA Academy, receiving unparalleled professional instruction from the ANNIKA Academy instructors, and being in the presence of a golf legend were just a few of the things that made the day such a fairytale. But if you ask Annika, the day was special because of what she was able to give back to those children while honoring the memory of a family friend.
Watch the video below for a full recap of the day.
Holly Baxter was a mother, a golf enthusiast, an Annika fan, and a passionate youth advocate. After her passing, Holly’s husband Bob Baxter knew he wanted to start an event in her memory and teaming up with family friend Mike McGee and his wife, Annika Sorenstam, seemed like just the think to honor his late wife. Through that friendship, ANNIKA Junior Day was born!
ANNIKA Junior Day in Memory of Holly Baxter allows underprivileged children from the central Florida area the opportunity to learn from the ANNIKA Academy golf instructors and spend a day with Annika, sharing her passion for life and the game of golf. This ANNIKA Foundation event helps to further the mission of the organization by providing an opportunity for aspiring junior golfers to pursue their dreams while also promoting a healthy active lifestyle to the participants.
