This week, the best women golfers will tee it up in the second major of the year, the 76th U.S. Women’s Open held at the The Olympic Club in San Francisco, California.

Our 57 ANNIKA alumnae are led by World No. 4 Nelly Korda. Korda has had an outstanding season so far, having captured the Gainbridge LPGA as well as four top-5 finishes in eight events. Her sister, Jessica, has also enjoyed the season so far, kicking it off with a win at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions in January. Most recently, she finished third in the Pure Silk Championship. Patty Tavatanakit, 2018 ANNIKA Intercollegiate Individual champion, has made her way up the rankings after winning the ANA Inspiration. Since then, she has had three top-5 finishes with no signs of slowing down.

Recent Texas grad and former ANNIKA player Kaitlyn Papp will be making her professional debut this week at The Olympic Club. She played in three ANNIKA Intercollegiate events as a Longhorn, recording her best finish (3rd) in 2019. She also played in one Diamond Resorts ANNIKA Invitational event.

There are also a lot of amateurs to look out for this week, including 17 past ANNIKA players. Highlighting the ANNIKA amateurs is Rachel Heck, who had a record-breaking freshman season at Stanford. Heck recently was named the 2021 ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel recipient after ending her freshman campaign with wins at the Pac-12 Championship, Stanford Regional and the NCAA Championship. A few past ANNIKA Invitational champions will join Rachel including Amanda Linner (2017 ANNIKA Invitational Europe) and Ana Pelaez Trivino (2015 ANNIKA Invitational Europe). Other amateurs who played in ANNIKA events include Amari Avery, Addie Baggarly, Jensen Castle, Megha Ganne, Gurleen Kaur, Gina Kim, Jaclyn LaHa, Alyssa Lamoureux, Minori Nagano, Bohyun Park, Aneka Seumanutafa, Tsai-Ching Tseng, Karoline Tuttle and Rose Zhang.
