The ANNIKA Foundation, a charitable organization founded by Hall of Fame golfer Annika Sörenstam, is proud to announce the launch of the ANNIKA Invitational Asia presented by Baskin-Robbins Japan, a new junior girls’ golf tournament in Japan. The tournament, to take place on October 14-17, 2025, will bring together 78 of the most promising junior players from across Asia for a 54-hole stroke play competition. The venue will be announced separately.

As part of The ANNIKA Foundation’s mission to develop, empower and advance young women around the world through golf and in life, the event will provide an invaluable opportunity for participants to hone their skills in a highly competitive environment. As the latest addition to the ANNIKA Foundation’s Pathway Series, the top three finishers will earn a coveted invitation to the 2026 Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex in Florida — one of the most prestigious junior golf tournaments in the world.

“We are so excited to bring a premier junior golf event to Japan. I have such fond memories of this country from my playing days and look forward to returning this fall. So much talent exists in Japan and throughout Asia on the collegiate and professional level. It will be exciting to see the girls compete and help them get to the next level on and off the course,” said Annika.

The tournament will not only provide top-level competition, but also educational opportunities designed to help participants grow as both athletes and individuals. These initiatives can include leadership seminars, educational sessions and skill development clinics.

“We are honored to host an ANNIKA Invitational Asia event, which will be held for the first time in Japan. We deeply admire Annika's commitment to developing young female golfers and future leaders,“ said Chairman and CEO of Baskin-Robbins Japan, John Kim.  “Our motto is ‘We make people happy,’ and we activate this by bringing fun and joy to people through our ice cream. We have a strong tradition of supporting initiatives that enrich lives, particularly for young people and women. We are excited to welcome Annika and young female golfers from around the world to Japan.  And we hope it will be a great opportunity for Japanese young female golfers to challenge themselves in the global arena. “

The event marks a significant step in further expanding the ANNIKA Foundation’s presence in Asia, which continues to produce some of the top players in the world. By bringing its signature blend of competition and education to new regions, the ANNIKA Foundation is playing a crucial role in growing the game of golf globally.
