ANNIKA Foundation’s Next ‘Share My Passion’ Clinic Coming to Topgolf Orlando

(ORLANDO, Fla.) The ANNIKA Foundation – golf Hall-of-Famer Annika Sorenstam’s charitable organization – will bring its next “Share My Passion” clinic to Topgolf Orlando on Saturday, December 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This is the first time a “Share My Passion” clinic will be held at a Topgolf facility. To participate, the ANNIKA Foundation, in partnership with First Tee-Central Florida, Toro and Mastercard, invites girls between the ages of six and 14 who reside in the Orlando area to write an open letter to Annika about why they love golf and why other girls should learn to play. The authors of the 30 most-compelling letters will then be invited to attend the event.

The day will begin with participants rotating through a series of stations devoted to different swing fundamentals. Annika will then give a one-hour clinic discussing topics ranging from the best approach to pre-round warm ups to course management to nutrition and fitness. The day will then conclude with a picture and autograph session.

The Foundation created the “Share My Passion” series in 2018 to extend its impact to girls who were just taking up the game of golf. The deadline for letter submission is Monday, November 22; an entry form can be found here.

“The ANNIKA Foundation team is looking forward to hosting our last ‘Share My Passion’ of 2021 in our hometown,” says Annika, the winner of 72 LPGA championships during her illustrious career. “Topgolf will undoubtedly provide a welcoming atmosphere as we pursue our shared goal of making golf accessible and fun for all.”

The ANNIKA Foundation is devoted to growing the game of golf around the world. It hosts six girls-only invitational tournaments on five continents: the Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex (United States), ANNIKA Invitational Europe and ANNIKA Cup (Sweden), ANNIKA Invitational Mission Hills (China), ANNIKA Invitational Australasia (New Zealand) and the Women’s Amateur Latin America Championship presented by The R&A and ANNIKA Foundation (Argentina). They are complemented by the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M, a 12-team college tournament, and the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel, which is annually bestowed to the most outstanding female NCAA Division I golfer.
