Yeram Kil of Korea sits atop the leaderboard after the first round of the inaugural SERI PAK & ANNIKA Invitational Asia hosted at Serenity Country Club in South Korea.
Kil, a 2019 ANNIKA Invitational Australasia participant, carded a 3-under-par after the first round with four birdies. Starting on No. 10, the 17-year-old had a strong start going bogey free on the back to make the turn at 3-under-par. The front nine brought Kil more of a challenge with two bogies and two birdies to hold a one-shot lead heading into day two.
Korea’s Minseo Kim sits in solo second and just one stroke back.
Two Korean players, Haein Sung and Minjin Kang, are two strokes back and tied for third. Sung, who had an almost perfect round, carded only one bogey on her last hole. Dayeon Lee and Jiyun Song of Korea are tied for fifth at even par.
